To choose a Komodo boat by group size, start with the head count. Up to 10 guests: Giona, Derya or Akassa Cruise, with 3D2N whole-boat fares from IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761). Eleven to 18 guests: Semesta Voyages, from IDR 106,000,000 (≈ USD 6,503) for up to 12, then a fixed add-on per guest.
Up to 10 guests, or 11 to 18: which boat fits
Count heads first. Up to 10 guests, the choice is Akassa Cruise, Derya or Giona, and it comes down to space and budget. From 11 to 18 guests there is one choice, Semesta Voyages, because no other boat of the four goes above 10.
Giona has 4 cabins and the lowest price of the three. The whole boat for 3D2N is IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761) for 1 to 5 guests and IDR 52,000,000 (≈ USD 3,190) for 6 to 10. The Poseidon Master Suite, upper deck, has a private balcony.
Derya has 4 cabins and gives more space at middle fares: IDR 62,000,000 (≈ USD 3,804) for 1 to 4 guests, rising to IDR 69,000,000 (≈ USD 4,233) for 9 to 10. Its Padar VIP Suite, upper deck, sleeps up to 4 and comes with a private balcony and a bathtub.
Akassa Cruise has 3 suites, the most private of the three, at the highest fares. The whole boat for 3D2N is IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) for 1 to 4 guests, IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) for 5 to 10. Laut Legendary Suite adds a balcony and a jacuzzi on the middle deck.
Semesta Voyages has 8 suites and carries up to 18 guests. Giona, Derya and Akassa Cruise stop at 10 guests, so a party of 11 or more is sent to Semesta Voyages.

All four are priced on the rate card dated 26 October 2026. For June to August we quote a higher card in writing. Ask us for 2027 private rates. Until that card is issued, the 2026 card stands and we confirm it on WhatsApp.

Cabins, decks and shade: what each size feels like
Each size puts you at a different distance from the next person. Akassa Cruise spreads 3 suites over a middle and an upper deck. Giona and Derya each hold 4 cabins, split between upper, lower and, on Giona, the main deck. Semesta Voyages stacks 8 suites on upper, middle and lower decks.
Most of the day happens on the sundeck. All four boats have one, with lazy chairs or daybeds. Derya's has two white daybeds and a few floor cushions under a white sail awning, beside the mast. The shade is there at midday, the open deck is there at first light.
Semesta Voyages adds an indoor lounge with sofa and armchairs, and an open-air dining deck next to an indoor saloon. For a party of 14 that means two places to sit apart when the sun is high.
Cloud and haze change what any deck gives you at a given hour, and the captain picks the anchorage on the day.
Creators and photographers: space to work, power to plan for
Plan the work around power first. Bring a power bank for every device you shoot with, and we confirm in writing anything you need beyond that.
Connection differs by boat. Giona, Derya and Akassa Cruise carry local Wi-Fi, not satellite. Semesta Voyages is the only boat that has Starlink satellite internet, and we promise no speed on any of the four.
On a private charter, a guide and photo or video documentation are extras: on request, quoted separately. Flying a drone in Komodo National Park needs a park permit and follows park rules, and we never promise drone footage.
Eleven to eighteen guests: Semesta Voyages alone
From 11 to 12 guests, Semesta Voyages costs the flat fare: IDR 106,000,000 (≈ USD 6,503) for 3D2N, IDR 8,830,000 (≈ USD 542) each at 12. From the 13th guest to the 18th, each extra guest adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) on 3D2N.
Sixteen guests pay IDR 126,000,000 (≈ USD 7,730) for the whole boat, or IDR 7,880,000 (≈ USD 483) each. Eighteen guests pay IDR 136,000,000 (≈ USD 8,344), IDR 7,560,000 (≈ USD 464) each. Every figure is for the whole boat on the 2026 card.
Semesta Voyages is not the cheaper option for a small party. At 10 guests it costs IDR 10,600,000 (≈ USD 650) each, against IDR 5,200,000 (≈ USD 319) on Giona. It earns its fare from the 11th guest, and from its 8 suites. Semesta Voyages is also the only one of the four that has Starlink.

A seat instead of a whole boat is possible: the Friday open trip sells cabins by the person, and our cabins page lists every fare. The private charter is still what this site is built for, and the charter page prices it by route and party.
Whatever you choose, park tickets and ranger fees come on top, and the captain settles the stops and the anchorage on the day.

Which Akassa boat is best for 6 people?
Giona costs least for 6 guests: IDR 52,000,000 (≈ USD 3,190) for the whole boat on 3D2N, IDR 8,670,000 (≈ USD 532) each. Derya gives more space at IDR 10,830,000 (≈ USD 664) each, with its Padar VIP Suite balcony. Akassa Cruise has 3 suites and is the most private.
Can Derya or Giona take 12 guests?
No. Derya and Giona take up to 10 guests, and we do not offer 11 or 12 on either. A party of 11 to 18 goes to Semesta Voyages, whose 3D2N fare is flat to 12 guests and adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) per guest from the 13th.
What does Semesta Voyages cost for 18 guests?
For 3D2N the whole boat costs IDR 136,000,000 (≈ USD 8,344) for 18 guests, which is IDR 7,560,000 (≈ USD 464) each. The 2D1N total is IDR 107,000,000 (≈ USD 6,564) and the 4D3N total is IDR 189,000,000 (≈ USD 11,595). Park fees are not in the fare.
Which boat has the most private balconies?
Two boats have two private balconies each. Akassa Cruise has them on Laut Legendary Suite and Langit VIP Suite, which is 2 of its 3 suites. Semesta Voyages has them on Moon Owner's Suite and Earth Master Balcony Suite, 2 of 8. Derya and Giona have one each.
Is Semesta Voyages worth the higher fare?
For 11 or more guests it is the only choice. For 10 or fewer, it costs IDR 10,600,000 (≈ USD 650) each at 10 guests against IDR 5,200,000 (≈ USD 319) on Giona, so choose Semesta Voyages for its 8 suites and indoor lounge, not for the price.
