A Komodo boat trip for small groups of 6 to 12 splits one boat: six guests on Giona pay IDR 8,670,000 (≈ USD 532) each for 3D2N, ten guests on Derya pay IDR 6,900,000 (≈ USD 423) each, and twelve guests on Semesta Voyages pay IDR 8,830,000 (≈ USD 542) each.
Split the cost: how a private boat divides
A private charter is one fare for one boat. Divide it by the head count and you have the price per person. The table below does the sums.

Giona costs least per person from 6 to 10 guests. Semesta Voyages at 10 guests costs IDR 10,600,000 (≈ USD 650) each, so it is not the cheaper boat for a party that fits the other three. It is the only boat above 10.
June to August runs on a higher card, quoted in writing. None of these figures include park tickets or ranger fees.

Which boat for 6, 8, 10 and 12
Three boats stop at 10 guests and one goes to 18, and those ceilings don't move. Akassa Cruise, Derya and Giona are the 10s. Semesta Voyages is the 18.
Giona has 4 cabins and the lowest price. It suits 6 and 8 guests on budget. Derya has 4 cabins and the Padar VIP Suite with balcony and bathtub. It suits 8 to 10 who want more space. Akassa Cruise has 3 suites and is the most private of the three, so it suits 10 who want the Laut Legendary Suite with balcony and jacuzzi.
Twelve guests belong on Semesta Voyages, with 8 suites and the flat fare to 12. We don't put 11 or 12 guests on Derya or Giona.
Giona's private band is smaller from June to August. Confirm your party size in writing for those months before you plan around it.
Creator collectives and photo clubs
Ten people shooting at the same hour share one deck. Agree the hour first, then the angles.
Space on deck: Semesta Voyages has an upper sundeck with a rattan sofa and daybeds, plus an open-air dining deck and an indoor lounge. On Derya the sundeck is white daybeds with gray cushions beneath a white sail awning. Akassa Cruise and Giona each have a sundeck with lazy chairs.
Connectivity is thin on three of the four. Akassa Cruise, Derya and Giona have local Wi-Fi, not satellite. Semesta Voyages has satellite internet. We promise no speed. No boat promises a power outlet in the cabin, so bring power banks and charge at the hotel before 10:00.
A club that wants the whole trip filmed should note that documentation is not in a private charter. It is on request, quoted separately.
A group sample day by day
One route, shaped for a group of 8 or 10. The 3D2N page has the full stop table.
- 1. Day 1, 10:00: board at Labuan Bajo, Kelor, lunch.
- 2. Manjarite swim, then Kalong at dusk from the deck.
- 3. Day 2, first light: Padar, the whole group on the ridge.
- 4. Komodo Island with a ranger, in groups the rangers set.
- 5. Pink Beach swim, then Manta Point drift.
- 6. Day 3: Taka Makassar, Kanawa, back by 14:00.
It's a sample, so expect changes. Stops, anchorage and the night's mooring are the captain's decision, made on the day around the weather. No hour of light is guaranteed.
Past twelve guests, and who pays for the guide
Semesta Voyages takes up to 18 guests. The fare is flat to 12, and each guest from the 13th adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) for 3D2N.
Derya and Giona stop at 10 guests. A party of 11 or more goes to Semesta Voyages.
Guides and photo or video documentation are extras on a private charter, quoted on request. Split either one by head count, the same way you split the boat, and add it to the per-person sum before anyone pays.
Above 18 guests, no single boat here takes the party. Send the head count and we answer in writing.
FAQ
Can I bring more people to a private charter?
Up to the boat's ceiling. Akassa Cruise, Derya and Giona take 10 guests, and Semesta Voyages takes 18. A party above 10 goes to Semesta Voyages, where each guest from the 13th adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) for 3D2N. Above 18, no single boat takes the party.
How big a boat do we need for 12 people?
Semesta Voyages. Its fare is flat for 1 to 12 guests: IDR 106,000,000 (≈ USD 6,503) for the whole boat on 3D2N, or IDR 8,830,000 (≈ USD 542) each at 12. Derya and Giona stop at 10 and are not offered for 11 or 12.
Can friends split a private phinisi?
Yes. A private charter is one fare for the boat, so friends split it by head count. Payment is one deposit of 50% and the balance 30 days before departure. How you divide it among yourselves is up to you.
What if our group is 11 people?
Semesta Voyages is the boat. Eleven guests fall inside its flat fare, which is IDR 9,640,000 (≈ USD 591) each for 3D2N. The ceilings of Akassa Cruise, Derya and Giona are 10, so none of the three takes an eleventh guest.
