How to book a private boat in Labuan Bajo

To book a Komodo island tour from Labuan Bajo on Akassa Collection, send your party size and dates, pick a boat, pay a 50% deposit and pay the balance 30 days before departure. Whole-boat fares for 3D2N start at IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761). We confirm every step in writing.
Step 1: head count and dates
Start with two numbers: how many of you, and which weeks. Everything else follows from them.
Up to 10 guests: Akassa Cruise, Derya or Giona. 11 to 18 guests: Semesta Voyages. Those limits are firm, so a party of 11 or 12 goes to Semesta Voyages, not Derya or Giona.
Then the light. Tell us whether you want sunrise, sunset or both. Padar is the sunrise stop and Kalong the sunset stop on every route, and the hour you care about changes how we write the route to the crew.
A private charter boards at Labuan Bajo harbor from 10:00 and checks out by 14:00 on the last day. The shared departure leaves every Friday, and a private charter takes any date the boat is free. Send us a month and we send back the dates that are open.
Nothing is held until we confirm the date and availability in writing. A 2027 private rate is quoted in writing on request, and June to August is priced on a higher card, also quoted in writing.
Step 2: pick the boat
Three boats of 10 and one of 18. The table gives the whole-boat fare for the 3D2N route at the lowest guest band of each.

Of the three boats of 10, Giona has the lowest price. Derya gives more space, with a balcony-and-bathtub Padar VIP Suite. Akassa Cruise, with 3 suites, is the most private. Semesta Voyages is the only boat above 10 and has satellite internet.

A single cabin on a Friday departure is the open trip: a seat priced per person, with a minimum of 2 guests per cabin. It is the secondary way to travel here, and the departures page lists the dates.
Step 3: deposit and confirmation
The deposit holds the date. Pay 50% to confirm, and the balance falls due 30 days before departure. Book inside 30 days and you pay in full straight away.
You can pay by bank transfer in IDR, a credit card payment link, Wise, Revolut, QRIS or Alipay. WeChat Pay runs through a third-party payment partner, not directly. PayPal adds 7.2%. A card link shows its processing fee, if any, on the invoice before you pay.
The payment is made against an invoice from PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363. It shows the boat, the route, the dates and the party. If anything is missing, ask before you pay.
Our WhatsApp replies confirm details in writing, but the booking only exists once the deposit lands. From then on the date is yours, and the written confirmation follows.
That confirmation lists the boat, the route, the dates, the guest band and the fare. It shows the deposit received and the date the balance falls due. It names the pickup point and time, and it lists park fees as separate lines, because they are never in the fare.

Step 4: before you fly
Four things before the plane.
- Arrival: land in Labuan Bajo the day before sailing. A late flight on boarding day is how most trips start badly.
- Hotel: a night close to the harbor. The hotels page lists the partner hotels we book.
- Pickup: free from your hotel, the airport or the harbor in Labuan Bajo, both directions. Time and point are agreed in writing. On a Friday departure the meeting point and time are confirmed in writing before you pay.
- Passport details: we need them a week before sailing, for the manifest and the park ticket.
Park tickets and ranger fees are always extra. The park-fees page lists them per guest per day, and we confirm them with your invoice.
On a private charter, a guide and photo or video documentation are add-ons we quote separately on request. The Friday departure includes both. If you fly a drone, apply for the park permit well ahead. The drone rules guide has the steps, and we never promise drone footage.
Children aged 0 to 2 travel free. From 3 the full fare applies.
Changes, bad weather and the standby boat
Plans move. These are the terms when they do.
A breakdown or a port or park order can stop your boat. If it does, you get a phinisi of equal or higher standard on the same date at no extra cost, or a full refund within 14 days. Your choice.
Weather is different. The captain changes the route for safety and moves to a sheltered anchorage at no extra charge. No hour of light is guaranteed, and the order of stops is decided on the day.
If you cancel, the refund follows the notice you give, from 50% at 60 days or more to nothing at 29 days or less. A date change is free at 30 days or more and costs IDR 500,000 at 14 to 29 days; at 13 days or less it is treated as a cancellation.

How do I book a Komodo National Park trip?
Message us on WhatsApp with your party size, your month and the light you want. We name one boat and send the fare in writing. You pay a 50% deposit to hold the date and the balance 30 days before departure.
What should my invoice show?
Pay against an invoice from a named company. Ours comes from PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363, and names the boat, route, dates and party. Ask for every promise in writing, including the pickup time, and keep the confirmation.
What happens in bad weather?
On the day, the captain picks the route and the anchorage. A change for safety, such as a move to a sheltered bay, costs nothing extra. No hour of light is guaranteed. If the boat cannot sail at all, the replacement-boat terms apply.
Can I leave a private charter early?
Yes, the boat can return to Labuan Bajo, and the captain sets the route home on the day. The refund tiers apply before departure, so tell us in writing if your plans change.
What if the trip is canceled?
If the boat cannot sail because of a breakdown or a port or park order, we put you on a phinisi of equal or higher standard on the same date at no extra cost, or refund in full within 14 days. If you cancel, the refund follows your notice.
