What a Komodo private charter includes

The lists above are the whole fare. Three points sit beside them.

Insurance first. Cover with medical evacuation is strongly recommended, and nothing in the fare replaces it.

A drone needs a SIMAKSI permit and a daily drone ticket, both applied for in advance. We never promise drone footage on a charter. The drone rules guide has the sources.

The June to August card is higher and is quoted in writing. The 2027 private rates are quoted in writing too. A fare that changes before you pay is told to you first, in the same thread.

A private charter is the boat, not the guide. The local guide and the photo or video documentation are not included. Both are available on request and quoted separately, and we confirm the line in writing before you pay.

The Friday departure differs. It includes the local guide and the photo and video documentation, because a shared trip needs one guide for the group. On the open trip you do not ask for either.

For a photographer the line matters. A guide knows the hour a stop works and how the ranger moves the group. Documentation puts someone behind a camera while you work in front of your own. Both are choices, and the price is quoted per route.

A drone is never part of the documentation we promise. If the line you ask for includes a drone, the permit comes first, and the drone rules guide says where it can fly. Kalong is a no-fly zone.

Ask for the line early. A guide is easier to arrange at booking than on the pier.

Pickup is free from your hotel, the airport or the harbor in Labuan Bajo, in both directions. The time and the point are agreed in writing before you pay.

A larger party travels in a bigger vehicle. A minibus with up to 12 seats is quoted as its own line, and a larger coach comes on request.

Three kinds of extras are quoted within hours. Nothing is added to the fare without a written quote.

• Dinners ashore. A dinner on an island, a private island dinner for your party only, a seafood dinner, or a dinner for a birthday or a proposal.
• Decoration. A cabin or the deck, for an occasion.
• Photographer and guide. Quoted per route, with the park permit arranged for any drone.

Prices depend on the head count, the island and the season. Write to us with the party size and the date, and the quote comes back the same day.

Three meals a day come from the boat's kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The route sets them in this order: on day 2 of the example 3D2N route, Padar, then breakfast on board, then Komodo, then lunch.

Free-flow mineral water, coffee and tea run all day. An afternoon snack and juice are included too. No menu is promised, and no dish.

A special diet is a question for the kitchen. Tell us before you pay, and we confirm in writing what the crew says it can do.

Water at the stops is a separate matter. Carry a bottle up Padar. Tap water in Indonesia is not safe to drink, and the boat's mineral water is the safe supply.

Alcohol is not included. If you want it on board, ask us, and we confirm the terms in writing.
