Komodo National Park fees for a private boat

Updated 26 October 2026

Komodo National Park fees for a private boat are paid on top of the fare: IDR 250,000 per foreign guest per day, and IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 on weekends and holidays for Indonesian guests. Park tickets and ranger fees are never in the charter price.

Fees per guest, per day

The park ticket is its own line. It sits outside every fare we quote, for a whole boat and for a Friday seat alike.

Figures first. They come from PP 36/2024, the regulation that set the park tariffs. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000 per day. An Indonesian guest pays IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 on weekends and public holidays. The table below shows the same lines.

Each guest pays, and each day in the park counts. Ask us how many park days your route carries, and we write the number into your confirmation.

Ranger fees, mooring and other levies are separate lines. We show the regulation's lines and keep the rest apart.

Note the weekend line: the domestic weekend and holiday ticket is IDR 75,000, higher than the weekday line. A date on a Saturday costs an Indonesian guest more, and a public holiday does the same. Pick dates with that in mind if your party is mostly Indonesian.

Komodo National Park fees (paid separately)
International visitorsIDR 250,000 per person per day
Indonesian visitorsIDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays

Entry bought online in SiORA; ranger and pier levies paid in cash on the day. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Updated 26 October 2026.

Who pays it and how

The guest pays. The boat's crew does not collect it in the fare, and the charter price never carries it.

Entry is bought online in SiORA, and a foreign guest buys with passport details. How and when your party pays is confirmed in writing before you pay the deposit.

Keep rupiah in your pocket. Ranger and pier levies and tips are paid on the day in cash, and ATMs are in town, not on the islands. Take cash before boarding.

The fee depends on the passport: foreign and Indonesian guests pay different lines, and weekend dates carry the higher domestic one. If your party mixes passports, give us each guest's nationality when you book.

Children follow the park's own rule, not ours. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free on the boat. For the park ticket we confirm the line in writing.

The park bill for 2, 4 or 10 guests, 1 to 3 days

Count it before you book. The calculator below multiplies the entry line by the number of guests and the number of days, for 2, 4 or 10 guests and 1 to 3 days.

It shows entry only. Ranger and pier levies are separate lines that can change, and the calculator leaves them out on purpose. A drone is another line again, and it needs a permit before it needs a ticket.

Worked by hand, the sum is short. Number of guests, times the daily line for their passport, times the number of park days. A party of 10 on a 3D2N route is a larger sum than it looks, because every guest and every day adds a line. Run the numbers for your party, then ask us to confirm the day count.

Fees follow the regulation, and the regulation changes. The figure you pay is the one in force on the day you buy, and we confirm it in writing before you pay the deposit.

Whole-boat prices and the park bill are two different decisions. A party of 4 on Giona and a party of 4 on Akassa Cruise pay the same park fees. What differs is the boat.

Entry fee only (PP 36/2024). Ranger and pier levies are extra; weekend domestic rate applies on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Updated 26 October 2026.

Drone and filming fees

A drone permit is outside the park ticket. It needs a SIMAKSI permit, applied for in advance, and a daily drone ticket bought after approval.

The fee sits in the drone rules guide. It is paid in SiORA, and we confirm the current figure with your quote.

Commercial filming, a documentary or a pre-wedding shoot uses a different permit category with its own fee. We do not sell commercial-shoot charters.

On a private charter the guide and the photo or video documentation are not included. Both are on request and quoted separately, so they are a fourth line beside entry, ranger levies and the drone. On the Friday departure the local guide and documentation are included, and the park fees still are not.

We never promise drone footage. A permit, a zone and the weather decide it.

FAQ

Are park fees included in a private charter price?

No. Park tickets and ranger fees are never in the fare, for the whole boat or for a seat. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000 per day, and an Indonesian guest pays IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 on weekends and holidays. We confirm the lines in writing.

Do I need to pay park fees in cash?

Entry is bought online in SiORA, and a foreign guest buys with passport details. Ranger and pier levies and tips are paid on the day in cash, so carry rupiah. ATMs are in Labuan Bajo, not on the islands. We confirm how your party pays before the deposit.

Are park fees included in the Friday departure price?

No. A Friday seat includes the local guide and photo or video documentation, and it excludes park entrance and ranger fees, flights, tips, hotels and insurance. The park lines on this page apply to each guest on a Friday seat in the same way.

Do I pay a separate fee for the Padar hike?

The park lists entry plus separate ranger and pier levies, and no extra ticket for the Padar hike. Levies can change, so we confirm the lines for your route in writing before you pay.

Is there a ranger fee on top of the park ticket?

Yes. Ranger and pier levies are paid separately and can change. They are not in the entry lines above and not in any fare. Dragon treks on Komodo Island and Rinca are ranger-led, so plan for the fee and keep rupiah for it.
