4D3N Komodo private phinisi, an unhurried route
Updated 26 October 2026
A 4D3N Komodo private phinisi on the unhurried route adds a spare light day: Gili Lawa Darat and Sebayur on day 3, then Kanawa, Rangko Cave and Bidadari on day 4. The whole boat starts at IDR 54,500,000 (≈ USD 3,344) for up to 5 guests on Giona, and Semesta Voyages takes 11 to 18.
Four days in order: what the extra day changes
Days 1 and 2 match the 3 day plan, with one change: Taka Makassar moves to day 2, between Pink Beach and Manta Point. Days 3 and 4 are new.
- 1. Day 1: Kelor from 10:00, Manjarite, then dusk at Kalong.
- 2. Day 2, first light: Padar. Then Komodo with a ranger.
- 3. Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Manta Point before dinner.
- 4. Day 3: Gili Lawa Darat, lunch, Sebayur. A day with room.
- 5. Day 4: Kanawa, Rangko Cave, Bidadari.
- 6. Back at the harbor, check-out by 14:00.
Day 3 is Gili Lawa Darat and Sebayur only. Nothing else is planned for it. That is the point of the fourth day.
Days 3 and 4 have no fixed order, so the order shown here is an example, agreed with the captain. The order of stops and the anchorage stay with the captain, decided on the day. The weather and the captain's decision that day decide where the boat spends the night.

Times show an example day, not a timetable. Boarding from 10:00 on a private charter is the fixed point.
Gili Lawa Darat and Sebayur: the day with room in it
Gili Lawa Darat is the northern island of the route. A hilltop viewpoint looks over its bays, and a reef sits close by for snorkeling. The stop lasts about 90 minutes. Its best window is sunrise, but the example order lists it first on day 3 without a set hour, so we promise no sunrise there.
Sebayur is the larger of the Sebayur islands, near Flores. Beaches, nearby reefs, a stop of about 90 minutes at midday. The sun is high, the water is clear of shadow, and the pictures are of swimmers and sand.
Between the two sits lunch on board and a long afternoon. Nothing is queued behind it. Use that slack: a second swim, a deck session with the camera, a reef you did not plan.
Neither island has its own page here. They are route stops, named in the route and nowhere else.
A spare day if the sky closes
A fourth day protects a light plan. It does not add a second Padar. Padar is on day 2 only, and we say so before you book.
What the extra day gives the captain is room. If wind or cloud shuts one stop, the plan moves the other stops around it. Gili Lawa Darat and Sebayur sit on day 3 with no timed stop behind them, so they absorb a change better than any stop on day 2.
That is a promise of flexibility, not of weather. No hour of light is guaranteed, and a closed sky on day 2 can stay closed on day 3. The decision stays with the captain.
Taka Makassar also moves to day 2 here, between Pink Beach and Manta Point. The sandbank is visible mainly at low tide, and the tide is confirmed on the day.

When 3D2N is enough
Most photography plans fit in three days. The 3D2N route already holds the dusk at Kalong, the ridge at Padar and the sandbank.
Choose four days when you want a day with no timetable, or when a party of 12 or more wants room between swims. Otherwise, keep the fare and read the 3D2N page.
The check is simple. Count the frames you must have: ridge, dusk, sandbank. If all three are on your list, three days carry them. If your list also holds a quiet reef, a long lunch and a slow afternoon, add the fourth day. The extra fare buys time, not a different sky.
FAQ
Is 4D3N worth it over 3D2N for photographers?
It is worth it when you want a day without a timetable. Day 3 is Gili Lawa Darat and Sebayur only, so there is slack for a second swim or a deck session. It does not add a second Padar. If your plan is Padar and Kalong, 3D2N covers both.
Where does the boat sleep on night three?
Where the boat spends the night is set by the weather and the captain's decision that day. We name no anchorage in advance. Dinner on day 3 is on board after Sebayur, and day 4 starts at Kanawa.
Is Rangko Cave on the 4D3N route?
Yes. Rangko Cave is a stop on day 4, after Kanawa and before Bidadari. Days 3 and 4 have no fixed order, so the order is an example, and the captain decides it on the day. Bring shoes with grip and a head torch.
What time is check-out on day 4?
Check-out on a private charter is by 14:00 at the Labuan Bajo harbor. Lunch is on board after Bidadari. Book a flight that leaves after check-out. Free pickup in Labuan Bajo runs both ways.
Does 4D3N cost more per person on a bigger boat?
On Semesta Voyages, twelve guests pay IDR 12,750,000 (≈ USD 782) each and sixteen pay IDR 11,060,000 (≈ USD 679) each. Up to 12 guests the whole boat is one flat fare, and each guest from the 13th adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368). Giona is the lowest-fare boat for parties up to 10.
