Komodo family private boat trip
Updated 26 October 2026
A Komodo family private boat trip suits parties of 4 to 18: children under 3 sail free, the whole boat for 3D2N starts at IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761), and the cabins are private, with the extra bed fares priced per cabin. Semesta Voyages is the boat for families of 11 or more.
Children, ages and the free-age rule
Children aged 0 to 2 travel free. From 3 the full fare applies. The free place is for a child who sails with an adult.
Tell us the age of each child at booking, and we confirm in writing whether the route suits them.
Life jackets are on the inclusions list, and the snorkeling equipment is on board.
Park tickets are charged per person. We confirm the ticket for each child in writing before you pay.
Boat by family size: 4, 6, 8 or 12
Up to 10 guests: Akassa Cruise, Derya or Giona. 11 to 18: Semesta Voyages. Cabins that sleep 3 or 4 decide the layout.
- Derya · Komodo Private Suite sleeps 3, Padar VIP Suite sleeps 4
- Akassa Cruise · Laut Legendary Suite and Langit VIP Suite sleep 4 each
- Giona · Poseidon Master Suite and Thetis Shared Suite sleep 4 each
- Semesta Voyages · Moon Owner's Suite sleeps 4, and the other suites sleep 2
A family of 4 on Giona pays IDR 11,250,000 (≈ USD 690) each for 3D2N. A family of 6 on Derya pays IDR 10,830,000 (≈ USD 664) each. A family of 8 on Derya pays IDR 8,120,000 (≈ USD 498) each. A family of 12 on Semesta Voyages pays IDR 8,830,000 (≈ USD 542) each.
The day with children in mind
Most stops are short. Kelor is a climb of 15 to 30 minutes. Pink Beach, Manjarite and Kanawa are swims. Kalong is a deck show at dusk, with nothing to climb.
Padar is the hard one. The route starts it before sunrise, with a head torch, and the climb takes 25 to 45 minutes on steep, loose ground. A parent decides on the day, child by child. A family can skip the ridge and stay for breakfast on board.
Komodo Island is a ranger-led trek. The trails run 45 to 120 minutes, with little shade. Closed shoes and a hat matter for the small ones too.
Ask us in writing about sleeping schedules, cabin noise or baby gear, and we answer before you pay.
Bring a bag, find the rest aboard
On board: air-conditioned cabins, breakfast, lunch and dinner from the boat kitchen, free-flow mineral water, coffee and tea, and an afternoon snack with juice. A sundeck with lazy chairs, a tender, canoes and floaties, snorkeling equipment, life jackets and a stand-up paddle are on the list.
Karaoke and multimedia are on board too. For hot water, choose Akassa Cruise or Semesta Voyages.
The bag is short. Shoes with grip, a hat, reef-safe sunscreen, passport or ID for each guest, personal medicines and cash for tips.
Cots and high chairs: ask us in writing, and we confirm before you pay.
Fares and extra beds
On a private charter the whole-boat fare covers the party up to the boat's ceiling. A bed count does not change it.
On a Friday departure, a third or fourth guest in a cabin pays the extra-bed fare. Akassa Cruise's Laut Legendary Suite is IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307). Derya's Padar VIP Suite is IDR 4,350,000 (≈ USD 267). Giona's Poseidon Master Suite is IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199). Moon Owner's Suite on Semesta Voyages is IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399). Each fare is per person.
A Friday date runs once the minimum cabins are booked: 2 on Akassa Cruise, Derya and Semesta Voyages, 3 on Giona. A private charter has no minimum beyond the boat itself.
June to August sits on a higher card, quoted in writing. The fare leaves out park tickets and ranger fees. A guide and documentation are on request on a private charter, quoted separately.
