Giona liveaboard departure dates are every Friday, 3 days and 2 nights from Labuan Bajo, Friday to Sunday. Seats start at IDR 4,600,000 (≈ USD 282) per person in the Thetis cabin. A date goes ahead once 3 cabins are booked, one more than on the other boats, and we confirm availability in writing.

Friday out, Sunday back, every week the calendar lists. The next start is Friday, 6 November 2026, and Friday is the only start day on the operator's schedule.

This is the shared departure, the open trip, and it sells cabins by the person from IDR 4,600,000 (≈ USD 282) to IDR 6,200,000 (≈ USD 380). Giona needs 3 of its 4 cabins booked before a date runs. That is the highest bar of the four boats.

A smaller party that wants a firm date, rather than waiting to see whether 3 cabins fill, should look at a private charter instead. The cabins page prices it by head count, in two bands, and the June to August band is smaller, so confirm the party size first.

The Giona route, stop by stop

Three days, three kinds of light. Day 1 runs from the 10:00 boarding through Kelor, lunch and Manjarite, and closes at Kalong at dusk. Day 2 starts at Padar before sunrise, then breakfast and Komodo, lunch, Pink Beach, Manta Point and dinner.

Pink Beach arrives after Komodo, so its pink sand meets high morning light, not low sun. Day 3 opens with breakfast and Taka Makassar, then Kanawa around midday, then lunch and the harbor by 14:00.

That is an example route, and the captain decides the order of stops and the anchorage on the day. Manta Point sightings are not guaranteed. Neither is any hour of light.

A Friday sailing has a meeting point and a time, and both arrive in writing before you pay. A private charter boards at the Labuan Bajo harbor from 10:00 and checks out by 14:00 on the last day.

Pickup in Labuan Bajo costs nothing: hotel, airport or harbor, there and back, at a time we agree in writing. A flight landing on the morning of sailing leaves no slack, so land the day before.

Four tags can sit on a Friday: Few cabins left, Sold out, At sea now and Sailed. A Friday without a tag has room.

How many cabins must be booked on Giona?

A date runs once 3 of the 4 cabins are booked, one more than on Akassa Cruise, Derya or Semesta Voyages. Each cabin needs 2 guests at the per-person fare: IDR 6,200,000 (≈ USD 380) for Poseidon, IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) for Triton and Doris, IDR 4,600,000 (≈ USD 282) for Thetis.

Can I charter Giona on a different day?

Yes. A private charter takes the whole boat for 2D1N, 3D2N or 4D3N on dates confirmed in writing. For 3D2N it costs IDR 45,000,000 (≈ USD 2,761) for 1 to 5 guests and IDR 52,000,000 (≈ USD 3,190) for 6 to 10. June to August has a smaller private band, so confirm the party size first.

Does Giona sail in 2027?

2027 seat fares and 2027 private rates are confirmed in writing and not shown here. Send the month and your party size, and we reply with dates and a fare. The 2026 figures on this page follow the rate card dated 26 October 2026.
